With so many iPad to choose from in the current Apple lineup, which one is actually the best for your needs? I will try to answer this question in this blog post!
So here is my guide on the best iPad for you in 2020! Let’s start with the actual best iPad.
This is clearly the best iPad from apple currently, it’s just been released and have all the latest features. Best screen, best microphone, best camera, best speakers, best keyboard accessory (iPad magic keyboard).
But even though this is the best iPad from apple it doesn’t mean this is the best iPad for you!
if you already have a more than capable MacBook or windows based laptop you might not need to get this best but pricey iPad!
The iPad Pro 11 inch price starts at $799 and $999 for the 12.9 inch version

If you are looking for the perfect Netflix and chill, or youtube and chill device and won’t be using your iPad as a laptop replacement then I would suggest you to get the iPad Air 2019.
It’s a very recent iPad (it was release in November 2019) offers almost all of the same features than the iPad Pro :

I think the iPad Air 3 2019 hits a lot of good points for most iPad users. Most people will probably not take advantage of the full power offered with the iPad Pro, and that’s fine.
The iPad Air has a nice 10.5inch screen, it support the Apple Pencil and the keyboard folio case and even has a double speaker array for stereo sound.
If you are a student and are looking for a good note taking iPad without breaking the bank the iPad Air 2019 is also a great option to consider. If you really want some of the pro features including the lasted iPad Magic Keyboard, in this case, try to find a refurbished iPad Pro 2018, you will save some money and won’t miss out on a lot of upgrades.
The iPad Air 3 2019 starts at $500.

The forgotten child. I feel bad for iPad mini lovers, they had to wait more than 4 years before they saw a spec update since the iPad mini 3. I was one of them.
The iPad mini is a really good option to consider if you are you looking for a small and portable “computer”, this 2019 model is even compatible with the first gen Apple Pencil so you could also use it as a note taking device.
But if you are considering an iPad as your main computer device this mini iPad might not be for you. The size of the screen will be a limiting factor in most multitasking activities and this might be frustrating.
If you already have the iPad mini and want to try working on it with a proper keyboard I recommend you to check out this keyboard from brydge made for the iPad mini.

This was such a good surprise when it was released late last year! Clearly this iPad was targeted for education sector.
This iPad offers a non laminated 10.2 inch screen, a dual mono speaker array on the bottom but conserves the smart connectors we first saw on the iPad Pro! Those smart connectors will allow you to connect the Keyboard folio for a better typing experience (for another $159)
The screen is a nice and bright LCD panel. If you never had a laminated iPad screen I don’t think this will be a big deal as you might not even notice the difference. Considering the price of this iPad the screen is more than good!
Another cool accessory to consider if you choose to purchase this iPad, is the Apple Pencil 1st gen. It’s fully compatible and will enable you to draw, take notes and more with this iPad.
Considering that this iPad retail price starts at $329 this is great iPad for someone who wants the iPad experience without breaking the bank. It’s a great option for students with the additional keyboard folio and Apple Pencil, kids as a YouTube / Netflix machine or elderly who would use it for light web browsing or the occasional FaceTiming.
